Bounce House NZ (BHNZ) Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Bounce House NZ. We're excited to provide you with the best inflatable castle experience in the Waikato. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using our inflatable equipment. As with anything, please use common sense!

1. Safety First

The safety of all users is our top priority. All individuals using our bouncy castles do so at their own risk – but we will help you mitigate as many risks as possible. The person or organization hiring the inflatable equipment is solely responsible for any damage or injury to persons or property resulting from misuse or reckless use.

2. Hirer's Responsibility

As the hirer, you are responsible for ensuring that our safety guidelines are followed at all times. You must fully understand and accept the conditions outlined in this document and must not partake in any drug use or excessive drinking containing alcohol.

3. Equipment Care

While in your care, you are responsible for the inflatable equipment. You will be liable for any loss or damages that may occur, including the inflatable being returned in an unacceptable condition (e.g. excessively dirty or muddy), which will result in an additional cleaning charge and a potential withholding of some or all of your deposit. It is recommended to check your site for sharp objects, rake up grass clippings (which are acidic and corrode the vinyl) as well as remove animal litter. Please note face paints, streamers, confetti, and silly string all stain castles and are the most common reason why deposits are not returned. In the event that an accident does happen, please wash down with water ASAP. If needed, please use dishwashing liquid and a cloth.

4. General Safety Instructions

Please ensure that the following safety instructions are strictly followed:

• A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable at all times.
• In the event of power loss or deflation, please exit the device as quickly as possible to reduce injury from falling or suffocation.
• Ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded and limit the number of users depending on their age and size. Collisions are a sign of overcrowding.
• Separate playtimes for large and small children are recommended.
• The inflatable has a minimum age of 5 years. Any children younger than this age must be closely supervised by an adult at all times.
• All disabled or impaired children must also be closely supervised at all times.
• Where water is involved, we require adult supervision in close proximity for all kids to minimize the risk of drowning.
• All KOTC rentals have a wind speed gauge included in your hire pack. It is the supervisor’s responsibility to regularly monitor and make sure that wind speeds do not exceed 24km per hour.
• In the event that wind speeds do exceed our recommendations, we require you to deflate the inflatable until levels are back to within a safe operating speed.
• No food or drinks should be consumed on the inflatable to avoid choking and mess.
• Remove all sharp objects, toys, shoes, badges, and jewelry - including large earrings. It is also recommended to remove sunglasses and reading glasses.
• Smoking is not permitted near the inflatable.
• Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the windows, walls, or inflated protrusions is dangerous and may result in the expedited deterioration of the castle and must be avoided. In the result of any damages not due to reasonable long-term wear and tear may result in the withholding of your deposit.
• When the inflatable is not in use, switch off the blower at the mains to reduce electricity consumption and minimize risk.
• Users with a history of back or neck problems should not be allowed on the inflatable.
• Users should not be on the inflatable during inflation or deflation.
• In case of heavy rain, it's advisable to switch off the inflatable. Any wet patches can be dried with a towel.
• Keep the vent on the side of the blower clear at all times.

5. Disclaimer

While we do our part to mitigate as much risk as possible, we need you to understand that we cannot remove them all. Therefore, all persons using our inflatable equipment do so at their own risk. The person or organization hiring the equipment is responsible for any damage or injury resulting from misuse or reckless use. By hiring a bouncy castle from Bounce House NZ, you agree to and abide by these terms and conditions.

6. Terms of Service
